IICT, together with D-Link and a number of universities (Novosibirsk State Technical University, Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management, Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies), annually holds interuniversity Olympiads in the field of network technologies and network information security called “Network Solutions” and “Network Security & Technologies”.

As chairman, the Institute headed the “IT Technologies” section of the international scientific and technical conference of students and young scientists “Youth. Science. Technology". The key organizer of the events was the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technolo-gies (SSUGT) with support from the Office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary to the Siberian Federal District, Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography (Rosreestr), Administration of Novosibirsk Region, Mayor’s Office of Novosibirsk etc.

The ideology of the Science Festival was founded over ten years ago by the Lomonosov Moscow State University, which initiated the festivals of science in Russia. The ideology of the Festival is driven by calling attention to the work of researchers which is necessary for the development of society and improving the quality of living.In the Novosibirsk Region the Festival was supported by: SPSTL SB RAS, SH SB RAS, NSU, NSTU, NSUEM, SSUGT, NSPU, SAFB, Research Institute, Academpark, Government of the Novosibirsk Region, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovative Politics of the Novosibirsk Region etc. The aim of the Festival was to popularize science and research activities in society as the driving force of an innovative economy. It should be noted that the Roundtable Program also made it possible to review the problems of the modern system of education and science, the complexity of protecting and commercializing the results of scientific activities, and to propose the concept of their solution.

Administration of IICT is grateful for the financial support of the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology, a state non-profit organization in the form of a federal state budget institution established in accordance with Resolution No. 65 of the Government of the Russian Federation on February 3, 1994. In 2015, the research work “Research and development of the system for intelligent adaptive network traffic management” was supported. In 2017, the research and development work “Development, research and software implementation of the algorithm of the functioning of the firewall based on the author's system for intelligent adaptive network traffic management” within realization of the innovative project “Research and development of the complex intelligent adaptive firewall” was supported. The Foundation implements innovative development programs aimed at creating new and developing existing high-tech companies as well as commercializing the results of scientific and technical activities.
